As the Founder and CEO of Niles & Chaz®, Iva built the brand out of necessity—when she couldn’t find clean, effective haircare products that worked for her daughters’ mixed-textured hair and celebrated their identity. What began as a family journey quickly evolved into a mission: to create a clean, plant-based haircare brand rooted in innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability. Niles & Chaz delivers high-performing formulas designed to tackle the biggest challenges in textured hair: frizz control, hydration lock, and easy detangling. Each product is crafted with vitamin-rich, plant-powered ingredients—free from hormone disruptors like sulfates, parabens, and phthalates—and packaged in endlessly recyclable aluminum and biodegradable wheatstraw. With a focus on both performance and planetary care, Niles & Chaz empowers children to embrace their hair and their whole selves with confidence. Before launching Niles & Chaz, Iva spent over two decades in senior and C-suite leadership at high growth organizations like Netflix. Iva holds an M.A. in Gender and Culture and a Ph.D. focused on racial, gender, and ethnic equity. She currently serves on the board of the National Hispanic Media Coalition and remains a vocal advocate for representation, access, and equity across industries. A strategist, builder, and mother, Iva leads with both head and heart—bringing bold, thoughtful solutions to the spaces where they’re needed most. She became the change she wanted to see—and continues to build a future where every child feels seen, celebrated, and cared for.
